Torquay Remembrance Parade and Service
Torquay War Memorial in Princess Gardens
|Location:||Torquay War Memorial in Princess Gardens|
Cenotaph, Princess Gardens, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 5EY
Sunday 8th November 2020 commemorates the ending of World War 1
There will be a parade and service at Torquay War Memorial in Princess Gardens, with rockets being fired to mark the two minute silence at 11am.
The money raised by the Poppy Appeal provides the main source of funding which enables the Royal British Legion to continue to help ex-serving members and their families, as it has done since 1921. In supporting the Poppy Appeal in anyway we are able, we show our respect and appreciation for past and current members of our armed forces. We remember those who have made the supreme sacrifice but also recognise the needs of the survivors and their families. Without your generous donations it would be impossible to carry out this vital work. When you buy your poppy, wear it with pride, in memory of those who have given so much.
Torbay Road will be closed between 9 am and 12 noon.
